Hurricane Michael affected many people in the panhandle of Florida, including one of our own, Miranda Edney. We consider Miranda a precious part of our Prima family, as she has shared her time and talent with all of us through Facebook Live, Create With Prima, Art Venture, and daily inspiration on our design team. Today a few of our design team created special cards and tags just for Miranda.
When I saw the images of the storm on the news, my heart sunk. There were no words to describe how sorry I felt for everybody that was hit by this monster storm. I felt the urge to do something and from afar, there is not much we can do: give money (which I encourage you to do if you are able) and share love and support to lift spirits. So, for my dear friend Miranda, I created cards that celebrate friendship. It’s when bad things like that happens that we can recognize who our friends are. So, Miranda, hang in there, you are loved and you are in my prayers. You are strong and I know you can rise from this! Don’t give up! Love you, girl! ~ Karine
My dear Miranda! You have very difficult times at the moment and so many things to do ahead. But, you should know that so many people, in different points of the world are thinking of you and worried for you these days. Me and my family are one of them. You are so bright and a kind person; may everything in your life be as good as you! Love you so much and am sending you a million hugs! ~Nadya
Dear Miranda, I can not stop thinking about you. You are one of the most positive and sweet people I know and i admire you so much because you have a big heart and you're a great artist. I can not imagine how horrible these days have been. I'm hoping you'll be back to normal soon. Here you have us, for what it is worth. And you know: the end of a road is only the beginning of another and the only important thing is the people you choose to walk by your side....We love you so much (even if we are separated, thousands of kilometers away).~ Vero
Dearest Miranda, My heart goes out to you sweet Miranda and I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through. Remember things my look bleak right now but they are going to get better. This too shall pass. Wishing you lots of strength sweetie! You are so dearly loved! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! A little prayer for you: Help me to remember Lord, that nothing's going to happen today that You and I can't handle together! Love you my friend! Love and Hugs, Tanya.
When I thought what to write to you, Miranda, a song started playing in my head. You're going through something terrible and I can't even start to understand what that feels like, but when I thought what I'd say to you, a song from the Toy Story started playing. "You got a friend in me!" and I guess that says it all - I'm here, feeling for you, and helping if and how I can. Love you!~ Riikka
Sweet Miranda, from the bottom of my heart, I just want you to know that we all love you. You are such a beautiful soul, always so kind, our DT “positive woman.” I can’t stop thinking of you and this terrible situation, but I am so glad you and your family are all safe. I can just only imagine how terrifying this could be, but you are a strong beautiful woman. Your man is your rock and you will both pull through and be even more stronger! Love you, Honey! Sending you hugs and love your way ! ~ Nathalie
Thinking of you, sweet Miranda! I'm so sorry you went through this, but, so thankful you survived to tell the tale. Sending hugs and love to get you through this difficult time. ~ Stacey
Feeling so sad that this has happened to you and your family. Sending lots of love and hugs - in times like this , support from friends and community members is invaluable. We’re all thinking of you.~ Rachel
Miranda was supposed to be our Facebook Live teacher today. I jumped in to sub for her, creating a tag with a special message. (Catch details on our Facebook page!)
When devastation hits, the true value of things versus people truly comes into perspective for a lot of us. Miranda has shared so many positive things she has experienced in the last week that are truly amazing…just from the goodness of people’s hearts. It rises up and overcomes the evil and devastation in the world. That is what this post is all about: community pulling together to help someone special know that she is loved and to help her get back on her feet.
